'정제되지 않은것, 그리고 질서'

피라타(Pirata)는 2022년 스튜디오 노드에서 진행한 바다의 수산시장을 담은 씨푸드 다이닝 필레터(Filleter)의 스핀오프 공간이다.

스페인어로 해적을 뜻하는 피라타(Pirata)는 그 이름과 같이 해적을 닮은 공간을 만들고 싶어했다.

스튜디오 노드에서 브랜딩한 SEA-QUENCE라는 테마의 2번째 프로젝트인 셈이다.

'해적', 바다에서 보고 느낄 수 있는 강인함을 대변하는 대표적인 단어였다.
그런 해적의 특성을 현대적인 느낌으로 공간화 하면 어떤 이미지일까?
우리가 쉽게 상상할 수 있는 해적의 이미지를 현대화 시키고 공간화, 구조화 하는 것에서 이 프로젝트는 시작되었다.

피라타는 자유롭고 거칠지만 엄격한 규율과 질서가 존재하는 해적문화를 현대적인 재료 또는 형태들을 모색하여 그와 닮은 공간으로 풀어내고자 하였다.
형태나 질감이 정제되지 않은 날 것의 재료들이 기능과 규칙을 갖춰 공간에 담기면서 정제와 비정제의 경계선을 넘나든다.

공간 피라타는 그렇게 해적을 닮아갔다.

'Unrefined things, and order'

Pirata is a spin-off space for Seafood Dining ‘Filleter’ with the concept of a seafood market by Studio Node in 2022. Pirata, which means pirate in Spanish, wanted to create a space resembling a pirate, just like its name. It is the second project under the theme of SEA-QUENCE, which was branded by Studio Node.

Pirate is a representative word for the strength that can be seen and felt in the sea.
What kind of image would it be to spatialize such pirate characteristics in a modern way?
This project began with modernizing, spatializing, and structuring images of pirates that we can easily imagine.

The Pirata Project is the idea of finding modern materials or forms and unraveling a free and rough but disciplined pirate culture into a space like this.
Raw materials that are not refined in shape or texture cross the boundary between refining and non-refining as they are put in space with functions and rules.

The space of Pirata became so much like a pirate.
