Vague Afterglow of a Tarn

숲속 작은 호수의 어렴풋한 잔광, 여운

어렴풋이 머릿속에 드리워진다.

꿈 속이었는지, 어둑하고 스산하던 숲길. 수직으로 뻗어 있던 길고 울창한 숲길에서 무언가를 찾고 있다.

나무사이로 들어오는 빛이 작은 호수를 비추며 따듯하지만 시원하게 맞이해준다.

DINING VATA의 공간은 몽환적인 숲 속 작은 호수의 잔광을 담고자 했다.

작지만 뚜렷한 그 빛은 주위를 데우기도 식히기도 하듯 다양한 여운을 주며 공간을 채워 나간다.

공간 중심에 오픈 키친형태의 바를 구성하고, 백바의 마감을 스테인레스 바이브레이션으로 마감해 고요한 호수와 같이, 빛과 주위의 색을 머금으며 퍼져 나가도록 기획했다.

그 외의 공간은 어두운 숲에서 볼 수 있는 형태들을 구조적으로 담아 냈다.

수직적인 나무들로 이루어진 숲 너머에서 비춰오는 빛들, 암벽과 동굴과 같은 구조 형태 등 아이덴티티에 부합하며 각각의 공간의 기능들로 이어지도록 디자인하였다.

외부의 투명한 폴딩도어를 시원하게 열고 외부에서 바라보는 VATA의 공간은 외부의 도심건축 들과 자연스레 이어지고, 여지없이 어두운 숲속에서 푸른 빛을 내는 몽환적인 호수의 모습이 된다.

Vague Afterglow of a Tarn

It's vaguely in my head. Maybe it was in a dream, a dark and bleak forest road. Looking for something on a long, dense forest road that stretched vertically. The light coming through the trees shines on the small lake(tarn) and welcomes me warmly but coolly.
The space of DINING VATA was intended to capture the afterglow of a small lake(tarn) in a dreamy forest.
The small but distinct light fills the space, leaving various lingering effects, just as it heats and cools the surroundings. It consists of an open kitchen-type bar in the center of the space and is designed to spread with light and surrounding colors like a calm lake by finishing the back bar with stainless vibration.
Other areas have structured forms that can be found in dark forests. It is designed to match the identity and lead to the functions of each space, such as lights from beyond the forest made of vertical trees and structural forms such as rock walls and caves.
With the transparent folding door wide open, VATA's space from the outside naturally connects with the surrounding urban architecture, and becomes a dreamy lake that shines blue in the dark forest.
