'신뢰할 수 있는 존재'

우리는 살아가며 무엇을 신뢰하고 어떨 때 경계를 푸는가.
무엇이 나 자신을 편하게 하는가.
사람마다 상황과 요인에 따라, 향, 온도, 빛, 소리, 공간 등의 여러 요소들을 제각각 다르게 느낄 것이며, 이에 따른 심리적 변화를 경험하기도 한다.

"따뜻한 음료가 내 몸을 데워준다.”
"나무의 그윽한 냄새가 나를 안정시켜준다."
"가공되지 않은 무언가를 통해 느끼는 촉각이 계속 손이 가게 한다."
"아스라이 빛이 내 몸에 닿는다"

변함없이 믿을 수 있고 나를 안정시키는 나만의 무언가.
그것을 만들어가는 공간이 되길 바랐다.

22제곱미터의 작은 공간은 다양한 컨텐츠를 담기 쉽진 않다.
또한 무엇을 하던 그 안에서는 이목이 집중되기 쉽다.
시각적 불편함을 줄 수 있다는 이야기다.
다양한 사람이 사용하는 이 공간은 코어인 긴 바를 통해 모든 것이 이루어지고 이목이 집중되도록 기능을 담아냈다.
다만 사용자 개개인의 시각적인 차단이 필요했기에, 조명을 통한 집중 요소와 시각적, 기능적 분절을 적용했다.
전체적인 공간의 조도는 배제하고 기능 위주의 요소에 직접적인 조명을 사용했다.
바 자체에서 낮게 비춰지는 조명은 사용자의 술잔을 비춰가며 이에 집중하게 했고, 러스틱한 상판 표면의 촉감과 사용에 따른 소리들에 집중하도록 했다.
나의 행위자체에 내 자신부터 집중할 수 있도록.

바의 한 곳에는 다시(茶)를 우릴 수 있는 공간을 만들고 그로인한 수증기와 향이 빛을 통해 공간에 퍼져 나가는 모습을 시각적으로 보이게 했다.

결국 이러한 여러가지 요소들은 스스로의 집중을 돕는 수단이 될 것이며 이 공간은 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 존재, 즉 자기 자신을 다시금 생각하게 하길 바랐다.

'Authentic Presence'

What do we trust in our lives and when do we relax our mind.
What makes me comfortable.
Depending on the situation and factors, people would feel differently about various factors such as scent, temperature, light, sound, and space, and experience psychological changes accordingly.

"A hot drink warms my body."
"The deep smell of the tree stabilizes me."
"The touch I feel through something unprocessed keeps me going."
"The light dimly reaches my body."

Something of my own that I can always trust and stabilizes me.
We wanted it to be a space to make the ‘something’.

A small space of 22sqm is not easy to contain various contents. Also, whatever you do, it's easy to get attention in it. In other words, it can cause visual inconvenience.
This space, used by a variety of people, is equipped with a function that allows everything to be done in a long bar that becomes a core and brings attention.

However, since individual users needed visual blocking, concentration elements through lighting and visual/functional segments were applied.
Direct lighting was used for function-oriented elements, excluding illumination of the overall space.
The low illumination in the bar itself focused on the user's glass by shining on it, and focused on the touch and sound of the rustic top surface.
So that I can focus on myself first.

In one part of the bar, a space for tea was created, and the water vapor and scent of the tea spread through the light was visually visible.

In the end, these various factors will be a means of helping one's concentration, and this space was hoped to remind one of the most reliable beings, one's own.
